Mendocino County AVA Chardonnay. I love Mendo County wines, I think they are often overlooked, mostly because it’s simply a long drive to get there and most people never go.
Clear color, delicate nose, well balanced, not super buttery, not super dry.
This is a delightful chardonnay capable of standing on its own. I did not pair with food, simply enjoyed while listening to some Radiohead.
Tells a lovely story with a beginning and middle; slightly astringent finish but this is not a negative, simply an expression of a specific winemaking style which we can appreciate in this delightful bottle.
9/10 and I recommend.
